Yangshuo Yitian West Street
Yangshuo Yitian West Street is one of the most experiential cultural blocks in China, featuring three distinctive business formats: characteristic cuisine, leisure and entertainment, and tourism experiences. The project is located in Yangshuo, Guilin, an international tourist destination, and it commands the gateway to the thousand-year-old West Street. It receives an average annual footfall of over 15 million visitors.
It consists of two parts: the Thai boutique hotel Amari and the cultural block, with a total floor area of 50,000 square meters. The architectural style continues the characteristics of northern Guangxi, such as small green tiles, sloping roofs, whitewashed walls, hanging balconies, and stone-paved streets. Combining the ancient style with modern elements, it takes the four wonders of Guilin—green mountains, beautiful waters, mysterious caves, and unique rocks—as its design concept. Five different architectural groups are created, namely the Mountain Courtyard, Water Courtyard, Pastoral Courtyard, Rock Courtyard, and Bamboo Courtyard.
It presents to tourists a showcase of Yangshuo's beautiful landscapes, taking the local landscapes and culture as the thread. It restores the ancient charm of the thousand-year-old West Street through architectural art as the carrier, and continues the legacy of Yangshuo Yitian West Street with commercial culture as the inheritance.
The shopping block houses the Amari Hotel (the first Thai boutique hotel in Guangxi), Starbucks (the first high-end flagship store with baristas wearing black aprons in Guangxi), China Film International Cinema (the first holographic naked-eye 3D cinema in the country), and the concept bookstore "Cat's Bookstore" (the first of its kind in Guangxi).
