The Ping'an Zhuang Terraces Scenic Area
· The Ping'an Zhuang Terraces Scenic Area has a maximum altitude of approximately 880 meters and a minimum altitude of about 380 meters. There are two viewing spots here, namely the Nine Dragons and Five Tigers, and the Seven Stars Accompanying the Moon.
· At the "Nine Dragons and Five Tigers Viewing Spot", the "Nine Dragons" refer to the ridges of nine mountains that can be seen following the direction of the terraces. It is as if nine long dragons bend down from the sky to drink water from the Jinjiang River. Beside them, there are five small hillocks that crouch on the ground like five tigers, guarding this land and water.
· The terraces are like chains and belts, coiling from the foot of the mountain all the way to the top. The small hills are like snails, and the large mountains are like towers. In this vast world of terraces as boundless as the sea, there are a total of 15,862 terraces of different sizes. The largest terrace is only about 0.62 mu, and the smallest terrace can only plant three rice seedlings. There are sayings like "A frog can jump across three fields in one leap" and "A straw raincoat can cover the whole field". At the "Seven Stars Accompanying the Moon Viewing Spot", the "Seven Stars" refer to the seven small hillocks left when the fields were first opened. They are like seven twinkling stars accompanying the silver-shining paddy field at the top of the mountain. When seen from afar, it looks like seven stars accompanying a bright moon, forming a beautiful picture scroll.
