The Big Banyan Tree Scenic Area

· The Big Banyan Tree Scenic Area is well-known far and wide because of a thousand-year-old banyan tree growing there. When viewed from a distance, it looks like a huge umbrella, and it is an important part of the Lijiang River Scenic Area.
· The big banyan tree is about 17 meters high and has a history of about 1,500 years. With its intertwined roots, it forms a forest all by itself, rising up from the ground like a huge mushroom cloud.
· What made it famous is that Liu Sanjie threw a love token hydrangea to Brother Aniu under the tree. The movie "Liu Sanjie" was exactly filmed here.
· The Jinbao River flows slowly in front of the ancient banyan tree. The small river is blocked by a dam. When the tide is high, water rolls over the dam surface, and when the tide is low, people can run up and play in the water.
