Guilin Yaoshan Mountain Scenic Resort

The main peak of Yaoshan Mountain has an altitude of approximately 909.3 meters and a relative height of about 760 meters. It is the highest mountain in Guilin. Originally, it was an island in the ancient sea of Guilin and is also the only soil mountain in Guilin. Here, the hills rise and fall, presenting a magnificent momentum. The mountain is covered with lush pine and cypress trees, and the greenery stretches as far as the eye can see.

Yaoshan Mountain is renowned for its unpredictable and colorful scenery in different seasons. In spring, rhododendrons are in full bloom, and peach blossoms are enchanting. They compete for beauty, and the mountains are covered with red flowers. In summer, the trees provide a dense shade. The sea of clouds on Yaoshan Mountain after summer rains is a unique sight in Guilin. Yaoshan Mountain is also the only mountain in Guilin where one can view the sea of clouds. The ever-changing sea of clouds looks like a wonderland of Penglai. In autumn, the forests are dyed in layers, presenting a golden scene. In winter, the mountain is covered with snow, and it looks like a silver sea, having a bit of the scenery of northern China. Therefore, "Winter Snow on Yaoshan Mountain" has become a renowned scenic spot in Guilin. Yan Zhenzhi of the Ming Dynasty wrote in his poem "Winter Snow on Yaoshan Mountain": "The north wind blows from the east, blowing down the snow from the distant sky, sprinkling it on the top of Yaoshan Mountain. It's the most amazing sight to behold." Nowadays, there is a saying that "If you don't reach the top of Yaoshan Mountain, you haven't seen the scenery of Guilin."

The Yaoshan Mountain Scenic Area has the richest types of karst landforms and the world's largest natural reclining Buddha landscape. There is the Yuru Spring gushing out from the white stone cave on the mountain. The water quality is clear and cold, and it flows all year round. You can take a sip of this divine spring water to relieve the fatigue of the journey. When going down the mountain, you can also take a slideway, shuttling through the sea of flowers and the forest, experiencing the thrill of flying close to the ground. There is also the Jingjiang Mausoleum, the best-preserved Ming Dynasty vassal king's tomb group in the country. It is grand and magnificent. There are more than 300 tombs of the Jingjiang Kings of the Ming Dynasty. The plum vases unearthed here are famous all over the world.
